CULTURAL ENRICHMENT GRANT (CEG)

Through the Cultural Enrichment Grant (CEG) program, Bravo Greater Des Moines offers general operating support funding to arts, culture and heritage organizations in the Greater Des Moines region. Applications are available annually and must be submitted online here. If you have questions about the online grant application software, please refer to the GC20 Applicant FAQ.

GC20 Eligibility

CEG applicants must either be an existing Bravo Cultural Partner that received a GC19 CEG award in GC19 or a Greater Des Moines 501(c) nonprofit organization with annual operating expenses of at least $5,000 and have a primary focus of arts, culture or heritage.

**Any organization that did not receive CEG funding last year (in GC19) must meet with Bravo staff before October 1, 2019 to be eligible for funding.**

Organizations ineligible for CEG funding include:

  • Political, religious or educational organizations and institutions.
  • Organizations formed with the express purpose of fundraising on behalf of or supporting and/or promoting an otherwise ineligible organization.
  • Organizations seeking funding for: specific programs or capital projects; fundraising events; endowments; existing obligations, debts, liabilities or costs that the organization has already incurred.
  • Any organization deemed ineligible by Bravo.

GC20 Grant Awards

GC20 CEG awards will generally be a percentage of an organization’s actual operating expenses for its most recently completed fiscal year.

Portfolio Analysis

Bravo is using the GC20 grant cycle to gather data and information about its grant recipients. All individual responses will be confidential. After analyzing the results, Bravo may share broader themes and findings, but will not attribute any responses back to a specific organization. Organization name, contact information, address and other direct identifiers will not be mentioned by Bravo in any publication or dissemination of the data and/or results. Data gathered from this analysis is for informational purposes only and will not be used to determine GC20 grant awards.
