Through the Capital Project Grant (CPG) program, Bravo Greater Des Moines offers funding to arts, culture and heritage organizations in the Greater Des Moines region for their capital projects. Applications are available annually and must be submitted through SurveyMonkey Apply. If you have technical questions, please refer to the GC20 Applicant FAQ.

Applicants must be a Greater Des Moines 501(c) nonprofit organization with a primary focus of arts, culture or heritage.

Organizations ineligible for CPG funding include:

  • Political, religious or educational organizations and institutions.
  • Organizations formed with the express purpose of fundraising on behalf of or supporting and/or promoting an otherwise ineligible organization.
  • Organizations seeking funding for: fundraising events; endowments; existing obligations, debts, liabilities or costs that the organization has already incurred.
  • Any organization deemed ineligible by Bravo.


Grant Awards

CPG awards are generally 30% of projects costs, not to exceed $150,000. The minimum grant award is $5,000.


GC20 Timeline

February 24, 2020 - Application available by 10:00 a.m.

March 20, 2020 - Deadline for applicants to meet with Bravo staff

March 27, 2020 - Application due by 3:00 p.m.

June 10, 2020 - Award notifications sent

June 28, 2020 - Signed Grant Agreements due by 3:00 p.m.

July 1, 2020 - Grant term begins; checks sent

June 30, 2021 - Grant term ends
