Join us for a one-of-a-kind celebration at Blank Park Zoo as we officially welcome our new mayor—Oscar the Porcupine! After his recent election win, Oscar is ready to meet his constituents. Guests will have the chance to get up close with Oscar, and enjoy an educational program all about this prickly politician. Get creative with porcupine-themed activities, including making your very own Oscar-inspired porcupine. It’s a day of learning, laughter, and celebrating our favorite spiky mayor.
Schedule:
10 a.m. – Zoo and Event Open
10:30 a.m. – Mayor Meet and Greet with a drawing for guests to feed Oscar a treat.
11 a.m. – Education Program: Porcupines, hedgehogs & tenrecs how they’re similar and different?
12:30 p.m. – Interactive Education Stage Program
1:15 p.m. – Mayor Meet and Greet with a drawing for guests to feed Oscar a treat.
2 p.m. – Event Ends
