2025 is the 150th anniversary of Polk City’s incorporation. Celebrate by learning about powerful men who impacted the small town’s future. Two people important to the founding of Nauvoo, IL, were early Polk City residents: George Beebe, town founder, and Dr John C Bennett, fascinating scoundrel. Speculate on the connection that brought them both here. Program will be upstairs in the Polk City Museum on the Square. We have a wheelchair accessible door & will stream the program on the first level if requested
