Halfway to Hall of Fame

The Central Iowa Blues Society is thrilled to announce the Halfway to the Hall of Fame concert and announcement, featuring Iowa Blues Hall of Fame member Radoslav Lorković. This annual event will be the first opportunity to learn the inductees of the 2025 Iowa Blues Hall of Fame class and to secure VIP tickets to the 2025 induction ceremony scheduled for Sunday, March 30 at the River Center in Des Moines.

Radoslav Lorković is Croation-born, Iowa-raised, and classically trained folk and blues musician, known in particular for his flaire on the piano and accordian. He puts a central European twist on boogie-woogie, Tex-Mex and Zydeco. He’s no stranger to the international stage and currently touring with Asleep at the Wheel. Touring the world regularly and with performances at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center, as well as two solo appearances on A Prairie Home Companion, Lorković is an international ambassador for the ‘Iowa Sound’.

The Iowa Blues Hall of Fame, a program of the Central Iowa Blues Society, was founded in 1999 with the mission to recognize, honor, and celebrate Iowa’s Blues heritage. New inductees are selected periodically by the Iowa Blues Hall of Fame committee and honored at a celebratory awards ceremony.
