2024 Des Moines African Youth Festival (DAFESTA)

$30 – $60Des Moines African Youth festival awards, known as DAFESTA, is Iowa’s biggest annual African Youth festival event.
We serve the whole Greater Des Moines community by sharing African culture and heritage through music, food, and costumes. Our participants consist of people living in Greater Des Moines and willing to learn about African culture and heritage. While we appeal to those with African heritage, we welcome and include those with any background.

We are thrilled to announce that this year’s host is the renowned Hamissa Mobetto from Tanzania. Her charm, elegance, and charisma will ensure a night to remember.
