Blind Boys of Alabama

The Blind Boys of Alabama, who just won the Grammy for Best Roots Gospel Album in February 2024, will take the Hoyt Sherman Place stage on Friday, March 1st. Founded in the 1930s, this is one of the most recognized and decorated roots music groups in the world, with six GRAMMY Awards, including a Lifetime Achievement Grammy. They’ve performed at the Grammys, Carnegie Hall and the White House. Tickets for the Blind Boys of Alabama Des Moines’ performance are on sale now at civicmusic.org.
