Title: Grey Crowned Cranes as a Powerful Flagship Species for improving Livelihoods of last-mile
Join Blank Park Zoo as we welcome Dr. Adalbert Aine-omucunguzi from the International Crane Foundation (ICF) for a special presentation about the grey crowned cranes. Dr. Aine-omucunguzi will focus on how the International Crane Foundation’s (ICF) interventions to secure cranes, wetlands and catchments are helping to improve the livelihoods of last-mile (forgotten) communities in East Africa. Without ICF’s work to create win-win solutions for cranes and people, such communities would otherwise exacerbate crane habitat degradation in their own quest for survival.
