Shakespeare on the Lawn presents “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”

Join us July 17-21, 2024 for “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” William Shakespeare’s fantastically funny comedy follows three plotlines filled with mischief and chaos: a romantic entanglement between four lovers who run away to the forest and become bewitched by faeries, a dispute between a faerie king and queen who are manipulated by a rascally fairy named Puck, and the misadventures of a group of amateur actors rehearsing a play in the forest who fall victim to Puck’s pranks.

For five nights the play will be performed atop the English gardens and staged with the majestic backdrop of Salisbury House. Nightly performances begin at 7:30 pm with one 20-minute intermission. Gates open at 6:00 pm for seating. Advanced ticket purchase required. Tickets will not be sold at the door.
