A Conversation with Celina Karp Biniaz and William Friedricks – LIVESTREAM

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library is presenting a conversation with Auschwitz survivor Celina Karp Biniaz and award-winning author William Friedricks at the Library on Tuesday, July 25 at 8 pm CDT.

The program will focus on Celina’s experiences at Auschwitz and her biography Saved by Schindler: The Life of Celina Karp Biniaz by William Friedricks. Representing IJHS at the event will be President Emeritus Robbie Winick and her daughter Laura Lipshutz.

Friedricks’ biography of Celina recently won the Gold medal in the General History Category—Nonfiction of this year’s Midwest Book Awards. The awards recognize the best books published in the Midwest in 2022.

The Reagan Library is hosting the Auschwitz Not Long Ago Not Far Away exhibit and this hour-long conversation is part of the programming for the exhibit. Find a longer program description HERE.
